Guerlain CHAMADE by Guerlain Pure Perfume
Jean Paul Guerlain in 1969, Chamade was a homage to Françoise Sagan’s novel La Chamade.
Symbolizing a quick beating of the heart of those in love, “Chamade” is
another enchanting name given to the Guerlain creation.
It is a blend, dominated primarily by hyacinth and blackcurrant. As Moslih Saadi, Persian poet who lived in 13th c said,
If of thy mortal goods thou art bereft
And from thy slender store two loaves (of bread) alone to thee are left
And from thy slender store two loaves (of bread) alone to thee are left
Sell one, and with the dole
Buy hyacinths to feed thy soul.”
Next
to last on our list is a superb Oriental floral perfume made by one of
the most famous names in perfumes of all time. Chamade from Guerlain is a
green floral mix made just for women. We’ll admit, this fragrance isn’t
for everyone. One of the fruit undertones is lemon but it is
excellently blended with a fresh smelling aldehydic blend that makes you
smell like you just got out of the shower!Among the
floral notes are hyacinth, Turkish rose, lilac, lily of the valley,
jasmine, ylang-ylang, iris, and blackcurrant buds. Nearly 60 years old,
this perfume is extremely popular, made for people in love. Notice the
bottle is an upside down heart.A heart that beats "la Chamade" translates the effervescence of love,
the moment when the heart capitulates in the face of emotional
intensity. This perfume is a hymn to love that unfurls like the spring
with equal grace, femininity, independence and attraction. With flowers
in a thousand nuanced shades, this perfume speaks of a romantic and
audacious woman who serenely accepts the inclinations of her heart.
